The Sequence of Immersion
Life as it progresses is a sequence of events that are interconnected; one leads to another. Each event encapsulates a human mode that defines the outcome. Within the mode, a human is fully immersed. Outside of the mode, it is a memory—sometimes a faint memory. Not forgotten, but disconnected.
As humans, we rely on language to refer to a feeling or state, yet words often fail to describe the fullness of these experiences. A mode is a high-level definition of this combination of feeling and state.
In this context, words are only useful to refer to the boundaries of thoughts. They allow us to focus, to revisit, and to enhance the understanding of ourselves.
